Letter to Self

Dear younger self,

I know that you’re going through a lot right now, and you might feel confused and frustrated by all of the things happening around you. But I want you to know that things will get better.

In fact, 30 years from now, you will be so much happier and more confident doing the thing you love while helping people in the process! Amazing right?

⚠️ SPOILER ALERT: You win!

But, for now, there are a few things I want you to remember 👇

✨ #1 Don’t listen to people who excuse the behavior of others by saying “they’re jealous” or “they like you” – even if that were true (and I don’t think it is), it’s still toxic. ☠ Let those people go. Don’t have any ill-will towards them. They don’t know any better. Don’t waste your energy on them.

✨ #2 Keep trusting your gut. You know how people try to say you think you’re better than them? It’s because your worth far exceeds any bounds of this world. Your name is written in His book. Keep your head up. Trust God. Keep praying🙏.

✨ #3 Keep writing. 📝 That’s going to serve you well one day. Don’t give up. Write your feelings, your fears, your dreams, and your disappointments. Never destroy any of your work.

P.S. No one’s going to remember that your pants were too short or that your teeth were crooked, even after the braces. 😄 They’re going to remember that you were kind.

Love,
Me, in 30 years! ♥️
