How I Recently Failed Before I Succeeded

🌟 It’s true what they say: Failure is the greatest teacher of all. I believe everyone should embrace it! πŸ“šπŸ’ͺ

There’s just no degree, school book, or guide that can compare to taking action. Trying things to see what works. πŸš€πŸ”

One thing I’ve learned is that what looks like failure today is really just preparing you for your future. πŸŒ…

So study everything that doesn’t work!! There’s no way I would be where I am today without making major mistakes and learning from them. πŸ“–πŸ€”

In December, I told a client that the website feature she wanted to recreate wasn’t available in the new format. I knew she was sad about that – and so was I. It was a cool feature where the menu on the desktop view would slide in from the right to left. So, even after I told her it wasn’t available, I spent every extra moment seeing if I could make it work. πŸ’»πŸ’‘

I tried more than a half dozen times to write a code that would override the new theme’s formatting before I finally – at 12:24am on December 17th – made it work!! πŸŒ™πŸ’Ό

Every time I tried, I changed something minor. I backed up, deleted things accidentally, and had to rebuild them, deleted things on purpose, did hours of research, made more changes, saved, refreshed, failed. Until finally, that one time, it worked! πŸ› οΈπŸ’»

Here’s the thing. I don’t like the word “no” and I don’t like to be defeated! πŸ’ͺ🚫

You have to keep going! You only FAIL if you don’t get up again (and even then, I’m pretty sure you get another chance!) πŸ”„πŸŒˆ
